Experience hands-on craft activities,  and FREE Culver's frozen custard. FREE to participate.

A fun-filled evening of themed hands-on activity stations,  and Culver's frozen custard. Second Thursdays are FREE ADMISSION for all thanks to wonderful sponsors and bringing in a host of partners such as the Peter White Public Library, the Liberty Children’s Art Project, and GEI Engineers


Monthly themes have included:

Family Science                                                  Extraordinary Super Heroes

DIG’IN those Dragons & Dinosaurs     Blockbuster movies

Buga Palooza                                                     Get to know the MSO

Spooky Science

Join us for an evening of Spooky Science in our courtyard on Saturday, October 28 from 4:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. Hosted by NMU's Anthropology club.  FREE for all to join in the spookiness. 




8-18 Media Open House- We need new members!

8-18 Media is a FREE Journalism Program for kids 8-18.

8-18 Media is looking for new members!  Are you between the ages of 8 and 18? 8-18 Media is a FREE youth journalism program that amplifies the voices of our youth. Interested in writing a column for The Mining Journal?  How about producing your very own podcast?  Or making your own play list for Radio X?
